Captured in the Sea’s Arms

April 8, 2015

From underneath, the water tugs along your toes.
Breathing ever so slightly,
your breath matches the cool breeze of the air.

Sudden crashes,
and we still, somehow,
found our way back to shore.

Holding tight to what is left,
a trickle of water,
a distant memory.
Like those you forgot,
those you want to forget,
a stuffed note in the bottle.

Drifting out,

We lose touch,
of what became of us.
